Jesus is On Your Side
but in your times of trouble remember Jesus loves you so
so when you feel like your spirit is starting to break
remember Jesus won't give you more than you can take
so don't give up on Jesus, he won't give up on you
when your world comes crashing down, He will help you through
You may get depressed and you may think nobody cares
but don't ever doubt the love of the One who hears your prayers
So please don't be discouraged, He hears every word you say
you must learn to be patient if He doesn't answer right away
Jesus knows what's in our hearts, He knows just how we feel
just because he doesn't answer now doesn't mean He never will
So tonight when you close your eyes say a little prayer
whether you're feeling good or feeling low, Jesus is always there
so feel the joy spreading through your soul that you just can't hide
you'll sleep better just knowing that Jesus is on your side
