Did I ever tell you about clean pigs and dirty sheep?

Clean up a pig and it is still a pig.
What do you have after cleaning that pig?
You have a clean pig.
One thing about pigs, they like to return to the mud.

A sheep is clean and white. But if that sheep gets in the mud what do you have? You have a dirty sheep.

You may ask what is the point.

The point is that Jesus said, "My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish." John 10:27

This promise is for sheep and only sheep.

Cleaning up your life does not make you a sheep.

If you get dirty it doesn't stop you from being a sheep.

It's what you are not what you do that matters.

How can you become a sheep?

Humbly receive Jesus Christ as your own personal savior and trust Him to save you.

Jesus said, "I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish." John 10:27

Jesus didn't say that God would give them eternal life, he said, "I give them eternal life."  He could say that because he is God.

The prize is eternal life.
Give means its a gift.
Eternal means its forever.
Never perish means they can't loose it.
If they ever loose it then Jesus would be a liar.
